And so tiny! Still 500CCA and apparently the stock battery that came with the Civic. I’m kinda excited to connect it up and see if the thing will come to life. But also scared because that means I’ll probably get my first clues into what ELSE is wrong with it.
Also, sidenote, every time I go into a PepBoys I wonder why I don’t go into PepBoys more often. They seem like a better version of most parts stores.

Any previous owner that bought a battery that literally said “value grade” on it is suspect, in my book...
Also i just bought a battery for the Land Rover from Advanced Auto. They shipped the fucker to my door (all 60lbs of it) and gave me 25% off. Heaviest car battery I’ve ever seen.

Summit racing in sparks NV is a better version of most parts stores. Pep boys is good if you need to change your oil, wash your car or need some sweet chrome dod ads.

Yeah I don't usually go for the "value" batteries but for whatever reason this one (group 51) was hard to find. It was either this for $40 or a 5 year one for $140. Figure I might as well try the cheap one and see how it goes.

Sparks NV is a bit far for most people? I mostly go to O’Reilly, though really the vast majority of the stuff I get comes from online sources. I can wait a bit longer for better prices.

Summit and I are not friends, but I imagine if they were close that would be different.
I only really use most parts stores for fluids and filters.

It seems like you could swap that out for a big motorcycle battery.

They have a store in Toledo, Ohio too, and another in North Carolina I think.....but it really is a better parts store. ..the rest are great for maintenance.

I run an even smaller battery in my Civic. It’s essentially a high dollar lawn tractor battery. It’s been going good for 3.5 years now. Its an Odyssey PC680mj if you are interested.
